Danny Ronald Thornton, 61, of Clarksville, Tenn., a school teacher, former Honolulu Police Department employee and a retired Marine Corps master sergeant who served in the Vietnam War and the Desert Storm campaign, died in Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was born in Clarksville. He is survived by wife Marjorie, son Donald, daughter Jennifer Pittman, mother Lottie, brothers Gregory and Richard, sisters Debra Berry and Brenda Thornton, grandmother Jennie Ramey and four grandchildren. Services in Tennessee.
