Charles Merritt Peters Jr., 85, of Kailua, formerly of Kailua-Kona, a Chevron USA retiree and a Navy veteran, died in Kailua. He was born in Wailuku. He is survived by wife Emily; sons Charles III and Wilson "Manuwai"; daughters Christian Peters, Wendy Maher and Mollie Fine; brother David M.; and four grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Tuesday at Kailua Christian Church. Services: 11 a.m. Aloha attire.
