He is survived by wife, Hyok Ja Akiyama; sons, Robert (Jennifer) Akiyama of CA, Soon Akiyama of WA; daughter, Melanie Shin; 2 grandchildren; sister, Geralyn Akiyama; numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins.
