Vaughn William Newman, 80, of Kaneohe, a truck driver, Safeway manager and Navy veteran, died in Kailua. He was born in Warren, Ohio. He is survived by wife Fay; daughter Valerie; stepdaughters Wilma Keller, Evelyn Elworth and Daphne, Beverly and Kimberly Matayoshi; sister Jean Sheildes; and four grandchildren.
