Herbert Poliokeola “Poli†Akana, 81, of Hawaiian Paradise Park, Hawaii, a retired Carnation Co. truck driver and an Army veteran, died in Life Care Center of Hilo. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Emiko “Emi,†son Francis, sisters Elizabeth Ah Chin and Roseline Horwatt, and seven grandchildren. Private serv ices. No flowers. No monetary offerings.
