Robert Shi geru Hama kawa, 79, of Hono lulu, a retired U.S. Postal Serv ice manager and Marine Corps veteran who served in the Korean War, died in Palolo Chinese Home. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Evelyn F.; sons John and Stuart; daughters Rae Katano and Lynn Hama kawa; brothers Fumio, Kiyo shi and Masaru; sister Tsu yuko “Sue†Blackwood; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Friday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Serv ices: 10 a.m. Inurnment: 1 p.m. at National Memo rial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl.
