George Cardines, 63, of Pepeekeo, Hawaii, a retired state Department of Land and Natural Resources heavy equipment operator, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Lora; sons Kurt and KevinLee; daughter KerrieJean Maeha; mother Celestina Alika; brothers Henry, Eddie, Robert, Ronald and Gilbert; sister Tina Marie Salboro; and three grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Saturday at Hilo Coast United Church of Christ, Honomu, Hawaii. Services: 11 a.m. Casual attire. In lieu of flowers, lei welcome.
