Itsuo Muranaka, also known as "Papi" and "Chunky," 80, of Hilo, a Verizon retiree and an Army veteran who served in the Korean War, died in Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. He was born in Paauhau, Hawaii. He is survived by brothers Reynold, Tamotsu and Rodney; and sisters Sumie Arai and Yaeko Nakashima. Private services. No flowers. No monetary offerings.
