Napoleon Atentico "Chopper" Ebanez, 83, of Hilo, was a retired manager, supervisor and special police officer for the County of Hawaii Department of Parks and Recreation at the Hoolulu Complex, a heavy equipment supervisor for the Cultivation Department and Surveying & Engineering Department at Hawaiian Agriculture Co. in Pahala, and an Air Force staff sergeant who served in World War II in Germany, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Paauhau, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Adelina Y. "Lina"; sons Ross Sr., Brian and Scot; brothers Miguel Ebanez, Reubencio Ibanez and Magdalino Ibanes; sisters Celerine Lumanlan, Auralia Ibanez, Margaret Burns, Julia Rances, Patricia Gonsalves, Gina Pacyao and Maria, Amanda and Palabia Ibanes; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Thursday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
