Edward “Eddie†Fernandez, 72, of Kekaha, Kauai, a retired Hawaii Air National Guard veteran and radar technician, and an Air Force veteran, died at home. He was born in Kealia, Kauai. He is survived by wife Georgia; son Eugene; daughters Gina Gallegos, Jacquelyn Andaya and Carolyn Santos; hanai son “TJ†Batis; brothers Melvin, Daniel and Henry; sisters Bernice Wade, Katherine Dilwith and Jeanette Pohato; and seven grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Kekaha. Burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery, Hanapepe.
