Shoichi Chinen, 97, of Honolulu, a retired carpenter, died. He was born on Okinawa. He is survived by sons Takao “Ted” and Masaharu “Masa,” daughters Kikuko “Kay” Nagao and Haruyo “Haru” Martelli, brother Toshio, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Private services. No monetary offerings.
