Age 83, of Aiea, Hawaii, passed away April 5, 2011 in Honolulu. Born April 17, 1927 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Tamao was the founder and owner of the first and largest barber shop originally known as Holiday Mart Barber and Beauty Shop now Pearl City Barber Shop.
He is survived by sons, Sam (On Suk) Nakata, Nelson (Virginia) Nakata; stepdaughters, Priscilla "Noni" Cummings, Evangeline "Nami" Nakata; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Molly Fujimoto of Maui.
Visitation 5:30 p.m. Tuesday (April 19) at Mililani Mortuary Makai Chapel; Prayer Service 6:30 p.m. Committal Service 11:30 a.m. Tuesday (April 26) at National Memorial Cemetery of The Pacific.
