He was born in Onenoa, American Samoa. He is survived by wife Tavai; son Ryan T.; daughters Ashley-Brittney and Alexandria U.; father Aumua Ugaitafa; brothers Otele and Jerome Gapelu, Iete, Iata, Iakopo and Esau Ugaitafa, and Ace Muamua; and sister Tulua M. Lauago. Visitation: 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Waianae Samoan Congregational Church, 86-130 Puhawai Road. Services: 10:30 a.m. Committal services: 1 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe.
