EDITH LIN CHOY LEE LAUEDITH LIN CHOY LEE LAU
The long and wonderful life of Edith Lin Choy Lee Lau of Nuuanu came to a peaceful rest April 5, at the age of 92. Born Edith Lin Choy Lee on December 3, 1918, in Honolulu, Edith married John Lau in 1939.
Together with her loving husband John, Edith was a retired proprietor of the photographic studio and supply store, City Art Works in Honolulu from 1940 to 2002. In her free time, Edith enjoyed traveling to Vegas and playing mah jong.
Edith is survived by her daughter Evelyn Bell; sons, David (Janice) and Joseph (JoAnn) Lau; son-in-law Jeffrey Lee; daughter-in-law Charlene Lau; sister Margaret (Kam Kee) Hee; brothers Alfred (Lorraine), Richard (Karen), and James (Sandra) Lee; 12 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; nieces, and nephews. Her husband John Lau and daughter Lily Lee preceded her in death.
A celebration of her wonderful life will be held Saturday, April 23, at 11:30 am at the United Church of Christ on 467 N. Judd Street in Liliha. Visitation begins at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Nuuanu Memorial Park at 2:15 p.m. Casual attire, no flowers please.
