EVELYN PAINTER
An inveterate traveler, Evelyn Painter took her final departure on April Fools' Day. Her previous travels included destinations on all continents as well as the North Pole. She made Hawaii her home in 1968. She loved the islands and worked to keep them and their waters beautiful. When not traveling or enjoying the flora and fauna of Hawaii, she frequented musical, theatrical and dance performances: homegrown and imported. She never went anywhere without a book, usually one borrowed from the Hawaii Public Library, Mililani Branch. She loved stories (other people's and her own), puzzles and poker. Her family and friends miss her zest for life and great laugh. I imagine we may hear some good stories from her when we join her.
Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
