73Clyde Kaoru Chinen, 85, of Lahaina, formerly of Waipahu, a retired Fort Shafter motor pool employee and Waipahu Elementary School head custodian, died at home. He was born in Kekaha, Kauai. He is survived by sons Bruce R. and Weslee K.; daughters Lani Jean C. Fujinaka and Dori Ann M. Ishii; brothers Sosei, Dusty T., Robert H., Thomas K. and Edward A.; sisters Mitsue Hammond and Irene Rhee; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Visitation: 3 p.m. Saturday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 4 p.m. Aloha attire. No flowers.
