Edward "Sonny" Pihana Jr., 84, of Kailua, a retired refrigeration mechanic at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, died at home. He was born in Makena, Maui. He is survived by wife Thelma F.; sons Daniel, Charlie, Edmund, Edwin, Robert and Dennis; daughter Edna Streadbeck; brothers Kimo and Simeon; sisters Martha Swift, Kanani English, Nona Chanay, Sally Gow, Keala Clifton, Iona Kalahiki, Frances Hoapili and Ida Mae Pihana; 22 grandchildren; 41 greatgrandchildren; and four greatgreatgrandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Friday at Borthwick Mortuary. Services: 10 a.m. Burial: 1 p.m. at Greenhaven Cemetery. Aloha attire.
