THELMA BUSCH PANKONIN
THELMA BUSCH PANKONIN Thelma Busch Pankonin was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on February 26, 1931. She passed away April 8, 2011 in Tucson, Arizona. She worked at the YWCA of Oahu, Straub Clinic and Hospital. She was an active volunteer all of her adult life, being a Girl Scout leader for seven years, Y-Teen Advisor, Sunday School Teacher at Central Union Church, and President of Straub Hospital Auxillary for five years. She was preceded in death by her twin daughters, Tisha Hookano and Patricia Cooper and her husband, William Pankonin. Thelma is survived by her son Daniel Pimentel, stepdaughters, Linda Gordan, Kathy Corman, and Judy Lins; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held June 4th at 12:00 noon at Kahaluu Methodist Church.
