Edward Dading Torres Sr.
May 26, 2011 Edward Dading “Eddie” Torres Sr., 89, of Waianae, a retired custodian at Daly City County, Calif., and Waianae Elementary and High schools, professional keyboard and string musician, and ukulele virtuoso who played with Hookipa at Honolulu Airport greeting tourist arrivals, died at home. He was born in Puunene, Maui. He is survived by wife Pastora; sons Edward Jr., Timothy, Gregory and Kenneth Torres, Roger Tapac, and William, Randal, Derrick “Rick” and Leroy Maglinti; daughters Linda J. Perez, Bernadette Haggette, Teresa “Inca” Bissonette, Debra M. Torres and Gerrie Fasteen; 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 54 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Borthwick Mortuary. Services: 11:30 a.m. Burial: 3 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park. Aloha attire.
