Charles Mahuna Jr., 87, of Paauilo Mauka, Hawaii, a retired foreman with Hawaii County Department of Public Works, Highway Division, and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Kukaiau, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Delphina; son Myron; daughter Charlette Norfleet; brother Richard; sisters Margaret Ynigues, Ethel Mahi, Nora Mahuna, Elizabeth L. Loy and Mildred Kanakanui; and five grandchildren. Visitation: 4 p.m. Tuesday at Dodo Mortuary. Services: 5 p.m. Potluck dinner to follow. Graveside committal services: noon Wednesday at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
