72Robert O.H. Petersen, 77, formerly of Hilo, a retired Hilo Union School special-education teacher, died in California. He was born in Portland, Ore. He is survived by daughter Heidi Leach and three grandchildren. Celebration of life: noon Thursday at Hilo Union School cafeteria. Graveside committal services: 9 a.m. Friday at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
