Age 84, of Pearl City, Hawaii, passed away June 18, 2011 in Pearl City. Born November 15, 1926 in Lahaina, Maui. Retired from the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. A WWII Navy Veteran, Midway Island. Pearl City Little League umpire, Hawaii High School Association umpire. Damien Memorial High School Booster Club and Honorary Alumni Member. Preceeded in death by daughter Johnette B. Higa; brothers, Daniel Santiago and Edward Santiago.
He is survived by wife, Helen Figgeroa Santiago; sons, John F. (Leona) Santiago, Glenn F. Santiago, Don L.F. (Alicia) Santiago, Steven F. (Angie) Santiago, Paul F. (Cynthia) Santiago; son-in-law, Jesse Higa; daughters, Helen Linda (Eleazar) Malaki, Raynette J. (Alton) Daite, Glori B. (Hideo) Su'a; brother, Albert Santiago of Florida; sister, Evangeline Vegas of Alaska; 26 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, aunties and cousins.
Visitation 9:00 a.m. Thursday (July 7) at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church; (1525 Waimano Home Rd., Pearl City) Mass 10:00 a.m. Committal Service 11:00 a.m Friday (July 8). at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery. Aloha Attire. Flowers Welcome.
