FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

DR. BRADLEY WONG
DR. BRADLEY WONG Dr. Bradley Wong, age 51, of Maui died Wednesday June 22, 2011 with his family by his side at Moanalua Medical Center after a long battle with Leukemia. Dr. Wong is survived by his wife and best friend, Nancy along with two sons, Andrew and Alex, his parents Dr. and Mrs. Peter Wong of Honolulu, sister, Christy (Wong) Gabrio of Honolulu, brother, Dr. Wesley Wong and several nieces and nephews. Dr. Wong attended Punahou High School and went on to a career in medicine at University of Washington where he graduated with a B.S. in Biology and attended University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine; he received his medical degree. Dr. Wong completed his internal medicine residency at Worcester City Hospital in Massachusetts. It was after completion of his residency he chose to come home to the islands with his wife to practice medicine at Kaiser Permanente Maui Lani Clinic, where he was Chief of Internal Medicine. Brad was a caring physician to so many and loved to serve his patients to the fullest extent. He was an avid golfer, loved coaching local golf teams, enjoyed fishing and diving and other outdoor activities available on the Valley Isle. Dr. Bradley Wong took great pride in his ability to cook after a great catch. He will be sadly missed by his ohana and friends. The Wong family would like to thank Kaiser Moanalua, Wailuku, and Maui Lani Medical Centers as well as City of Hope in California for all of the wonderful care that the staff have provided over the years. Visitation 4:30-6pm. Services will be held at Diamond Head Mortuary in Honolulu Thursday, July 14, at 6:00 pm. There will also be services on Maui at Keawala'i Church in Makena Saturday, July 16, at 8:30 am.
