Jose Arriola Sonoda, 73, of Honolulu, an Army engineer and veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. He is survived by sons Jose A. Jr. and Anthony P.; daughters Maria S. Cruz, Annette P. Sonoda, Donna S. Harlan and Therese Meyer; brother Jesus R.A.; sister Rosario S. Kessler; 21 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
