Alvin Mona Kahawaii, 68, of Kaneohe, a retired GTE Hawaiian Tel install and repair man, died in Kaneohe. He was born in Kahuku. He is survived by wife Cecilia “Cissi”; sons Avery “Chuzo,” Alvin “Haruo,” Adrian “Osamu” and Christopher; daughters Sonja Kahawaii, Peggy Nakagawa, Heidi Toomalatai and Marissa Carreiro; brothers Maurice “Butch,” Daniel K. Jr. and Nolan; sisters Hatsuno Kapali, Mavis “Fumi” Yamada, Geraldine H.K. Henry, Maydell “Midori” Smith and Charlene “Leimomi” Kahawaii; 17 grand-children; and two great-grand-children.
