Melvin R. "Mel" Higashi, 66, of Honolulu, a retired Hawaiian Electric Company Supervisor Dispatcher, died at Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu.
He is survived by wife Joyce S.; son Ryan M. (Pam); daughter Shari M.; and grandchildren Brandon and Jessica. Visitation: 10 a.m.
Sunday, July 31 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 11 a.m. Casual attire.
