80Steven Alvin “Honey Boy” Kahunanui, 67, of Wailuku, a retired heavy-equipment operator, died in Kaiser Medical Center. He was born on Maui. He is survived by son Gino Aquino; daughters Gail Aquino, Vanessa Tau-a, Santy “Pua” and Stephanie “Ipo” Mateo, and Jane “Kainoa” Luis-Mateo; brother Harry Sr.; sisters Sister Lucia Iwata and Mildred Purdy; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
