HARRIET MATTOS
Harriet Mattos, 85, of Rockton, Illinois died at 5:20 p.m. Wednesday, July 20 2011 in Highview in the Woodlands Nursing Home. Born March 10, 1926 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Joseph and Ida (Freitas) Botelho. Harriet lived 81 years in Hawaii before relocating to Illinois. She married Harold T. Mattos in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1943. She was a long time member of St. Anthony's Church in Kailua, Hawaii. She was a loving mother, wife, and grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Douglas (Teri) Mattos of Honolulu, Hawaii; daughters, Janis K. Rodrigues of Rockton, Illinois, and Georgiann (Larry) Rudnick of Glenview, Illinois; five grand children; five great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; and one sister Genevieve Boyd of Honolulu, Hawaii. She was predeceased by her parents and husband.
Private ceremonies were held in Illinois. Arrangements were made by McCorkle Funeral Home, 767 North Blackhawk Blvd., Rockton, Illinois 61072.
