JACK JAMES JENKINS "UNCLE JACK"
JACK JAMES JENKINS "UNCLE JACK" Jack James Jenkins, better known as UNCLE JACK passed away July 20th at the age of 83 surrounded by three generations. A "Tar Heel" born and raised in Lowell, North Carolina he is the son of Velma Blair and Ralph Jenkins, preceded in death by siblings Catherine, R.C., Carolyn, Bill and Bob Jenkins. A North Shore kama'aina his survivors are his wife "Aunty Betty" Kawohiokalani Ellis Jenkins, children Kimo, Kaipo and Nalani Jenkins Choy, nine mo'opuna, daughter in law Lucy Anna Jenkins, son in law Shelton Choy and niece Catherine Jenkins. A business career and community volunteer UNCLE JACK partnered with the military, Rotarians and International Lions, Waialua and Ali'i Pauahi Hawaiian Civic Clubs, Mililani Presbyterian Church, Waialua's Congregational Church and the Ahupua'a o Waimea. An advocate of mind, body and spirit wellness his alliamce was with Ho'omau Ke Ola, Imi Ke Ola Mau, Papa Ola Lokahi and Hina Mauka. A Celebration Service is scheduled for Sunday August 14th at the Waialua United Church of Christ, 67-174 Farrington Hwy adjacent to Waialua High School. Visitation hours are 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. with a service to follow.
