Pierre Denis King, 46, of Haiku, Maui, a self-employed retail merchant and an Army veteran with the 82nd Airborne, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Cotonou, Dahomey, now called Benin, in equatorial Africa. He is survived by son Egan, daughters Trinda and Morgan, parents Serge and Gloria, and brothers Christopher and Dion. Services: 9:45 a.m. Aug. 21 at Kanaha Beach Park, Kahului.
