Jeffrey Carl Thiem, 51, of Honolulu, a retired Hawaii Air National Guard master sergeant and a state sheriff, died in Kaiser Medical Center. He was born in Lancaster, Neb. He is survived by wife Maria "Maia," father Raymond and sisters Fayne Payne and Rose Brown. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Borthwick Mortuary. Services: 11 a.m. Private inurnment on a later date.
