George Takashi Taoka, 76, of Aiea, a retired University of Hawaii professor of engineering, died at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Myrtle; daughters Sharyl, Christy and Robin; brothers Robert and Clarence; and six grandchildren. Private services.
