80, of Kaneohe, died August 14, 2011 in Kailua. He was born in Honolulu. Formerly of Kamalo, Molokai. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator for 44 years for such companies as, EE Black, Vincent Construction & Morrison-Knudson. He also held a part-time job for 27 years as a Lieutenant of security at the Kailua Drive-In Theater. Jesse was a member of the Royal Order of Kamehameha I, moku 'O Kuhio Chapter 6.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sophie K; sons, Jesse K. Jr., Sam K., Ernest K. and Clyde K. Makainai; daughters, Beatrice K. Kaonohi and Caroline L. Makainai; 24 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren.
Visitation 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday (08/25) at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kaneohe Stake Center; service 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.; burial 2:30 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
