Paul Nalua Kahapea Sr., 62, of Honolulu, an employee of the city Refuse Department, Sun Freight Moving and Storage, Menehune Water Co., Waikiki Yacht Club, The Honolulu Advertiser, Aircraft Services International Group and Kahapea’s Maintenance Services, died. He also was an Army National Guard veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Katherine E. “Trina”; sons Sherwin-Sean, Garrett K. and Paul Jr.; daughters Paget Emalia and “Anuhea”; brothers Alex Kahapea and Edward Miller; sisters Shirley N. Shimaoka, Thyonepola Kahapea-Naki, Gail Wagner and Georgianna See; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation: 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary. Services: 5:30 p.m. Committal services: 1 p.m. Monday at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. Casual attire.
