AKIYO HOSHINO PARK
Akiyo "Aki" Hoshino Park, age 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 22. She was born on October 29, 1931 in Honokaa, Hawaii. Aki was a retired kindergarten teacher at Heeia Elementary, an active member of the Nichiren Mission and loved her sports! She was married for 50 years to loving husband, Herbert Chung Wah Park, a retired captain with Aloha Airlines.
Aki is survived by her husband and two children; daughter, Suzie Thompson, and son, Russell Park. Her greatest joys were her two grandchildren, Joshua and Tiffany Thompson. She is also survived by her brothers, Richard (Esther) and Tommy Hoshino; sister, Kay Miyose; brother and sister-in-law, Reggie and Betsy Park; sister-in-law, Milly (predeceased brother, Tetsuo); nine nephews and six nieces.
She was a devoted wife and mother, who made everyone feel valued and loved.
Service to be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific on Tuesday, September 6 at 3 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers, please.
