73Lionel Jerome “Buddy” Azevedo, 79, of Hilo, an Azevedo Constructors Inc. heavy equipment operator and contractor, died at home. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Edna H.; sons George “Scotty,” Carl “Bobo,” Curtis, Clayton, Calvin, William and Neil; daughters Shayne Ah Sing, Leonetta Lehmann, Aileen Azevedo and Sheila Baldado; sister Eleanor “Ellie” Brown; 31 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Wednesday at Dodo Mortuary. Services: 6 p.m. Additional visitation: 8 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hilo. Mass: 10 a.m. Cremation to follow at the mortuary. Casual attire.
