93, of Honolulu, passed away September 1, 2011. She was born October 14, 1917 in Honolulu. She was a retired waitress at the Willow's. She was past president of Chinese Women's Club; member of the Tom's Association,; See Dai Soo Society; Hawaii Chinese Civic Association;; Chee Kung Tong and Chinatown Lions, 1997 Model Chinese Mother of the Year.
Survived by son, Dr. Philip K. B. Tom (Maria); daughters Sylvia Tom Tanabe (Osamu) and Yvonne Tom Ching (Curtis); 6 grandchilldren Christopher and Nicholas Tom;; David Tanabe (Joelle) and Dr. Julie Tanabe Goo (Garrick); Craig Ching (Tina) and Cristy Ching; 6 great grandchildren Aaron, Brady and Ethan Goo and Abby and Cara Tanabe. Surviving siblings include brother Herbert Au; sisters, Eunice Ho, Mildred Lum, Ruby Chung, Henrietta Yamamoto, and Ellen Wong.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m.-12 noon Monday, September 12, 2011 at Nuuanu Memorial Park at Mortuary East Chapel. Service begins at 12 noon. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park. No flowers. Casual attire.
