Calvin Joseph Simmons, 90, of Kailua-Kona, an Army veteran who served in World War II, a Ford Motor Co. engineer, an investor, a private pilot and a photographer, died. He was born in Sandusky, Mich. He is survived by sons Thomas and Richard; daughters Janet Simmons, Lynn Taube, Karen Counts and Donna Reddmann; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
