81Virgilio Mina Palacol, 72, of Papaikou, Hawaii, a retired Hilo Medical Center laundry attendant, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Santiago, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. He is survived by wife Gloria, daughter Camille Stamatakos, hanai daughters Samantha King and Dr. Mary Ann Pefanco, father Hilarion, brothers Renato and Edmundo, and a grandchild. Visitation: 5 p.m. today at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 7 p.m. Additional visitation: 1 p.m. Sunday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Papaikou. Mass: 2 p.m. Cremation to follow at Dodo Mortuary. Casual attire.
