Isamu "Smokey" Tarasawa, 84, of Kapolei, a retiree from civil service in Camp Zama, Japan, and an Army veteran, died in Ewa Beach. He was born in Ewa. He is survived by wife Sadako; daughters Candace Tarasawa, Kei Masuda and Michi Hayashi; brother Tsutomu; sisters Hiroko, Kimie and Jane; and two grandchildren. Private services.
