Monte Shuji Okamoto, 92, of Honolulu, a retired auditor for the federal government, an Army veteran who served with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, 232nd Engineers, and a Purple Heart recipient, died in a private care home. He was born in Ewa. He is survived by wife Lily T., son Grant O., daughter Lisa Ann M. Watabayashi and four grandchildren. Private services.
