John Patrick Kearns, 71, of Kailua, a U.S. government Department of Commerce satellite meteorologist, died. He was born in Bozeman, Mont. He is survived by wife Yvonne F., sons Kevin C. and Sean P., brother Edmund J. Jr. and a grandchild. Visitation: 3 p.m. Thursday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 4 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
