Alapati Penuafa Tofa, 79, of Laie, a former truck driver, bus driver and security guard, died at home. He was born in Iva, Savai'i, Western Samoa. He is survived by wife Vaimanino, sons Aitofele "Joe" and Alapati "Paki" Jr., daughters Valo "Rose" and Salema "Lema," sisters Etelini Tofa Gisa and Siamoa Tofa, and five grandchildren. Visitation: 8:30 a.m. Friday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Laie 5th Ward, Laie Hawaii Stake Center. Graveside services: 11 a.m. at Laie Cemetery. Burial at noon.
