Teri passed away last October after a long illness and requested that no official notice be posted at the time of her death. Teri was born in Okinawa in 1933 and moved to Hawaii in 1954 with her husband Joseph S.K. Kim of Honolulu. Teri worked at Nalii Fashions, Malia of Hawaii, and Duty Free Shops before her retirement. Prior to her illness and after over 50 years, Teri was able to reunite with her family during a visit to Okinawa. She is survived by her son Rodney of Honolulu and her daughter Cynthia Banuelos (Tino) of California and grandson Andrew Kim Banuelos.
