Alfred Joseph DeRego Jr., 72, of Kaneohe, a retired Hawaii Air National Guard chief master sergeant for the 154th MXS Maintenance Squadron, died in Castle Medical Center. He was born in Paia, Maui. He is survived by wife Jan K.N.; sons Bruce A. and Alika J.K.; daughters Traciann T.P. Bonner, Juliann T.K. Yim, Alana M.K. and Alyssa L.K.D. Char; sisters Agnes T. Char, Lorraine and Susan Souza, and Pauline Sylvester; and five grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Mass: 11:30 a.m. Burial: 1 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. Civilians and retirees: aloha attire. Military personnel: uniform of the day (ABU or blues).
