TAEKO JEAN FUJIMURA
Taeko Jean Fujimura, 86, passed away in Honolulu on Nov.16, 2011.
Jean was born in Waimea, Kauai, to Kozo and Hisa Segawa, officially on Sept. 4, 1925. She graduated from Waimea High in 1942 and worked as a secretary for the Hawaii D.O.E. for nearly 40 years. She was married to Takuji "Ducky" Fujimura for more than four decades until his passing in 1990. Jean loved dancing, bowling and traveling around the world. She was a giving person who did things in a big way and was devoted to her family and friends, enriching the lives of everyone around her.
Jean is survived by her son, Guy; daughters Rumi Fujimura-Maruyama and Danel Licari; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Private services were held on Dec. 2.
