ARCHBISHOP JOHN A.M. SUYAT
ARCHBISHOP JOHN A.M. SUYAT Archbishop John A.M. Suyat, of 31 Akamu Place, Nuuanu, Honolulu, went to be with the Lord at the age of 101 years old on November 26, 2011. He was born on November 13, 1910 in Unzad, Villasis, Pangasinan, Philippines. He is the Founder of "The Gospel Of Alpha And Omega Church, Inc." He is Survived' by five sons, James (Cornelia) of Waianae, Pastor Peter Suyat of Honolulu, Paul (Florence) of Honolulu, Church International President Steven (Thelma) of Kahului, Maui, Evangelist Matthew (Jody) of Molokai, eight daughters, Marlene "Tina" Kawano (Nelson) of Molokai, Lovell "Linda" Maikui of Honolulu, Barbara "Rita" Paleka (Robert) of Molokai,Sr. Church Advisor and Reverend Edith "Libby" Kimball (Vernon) of Honolulu, Pastor Ruth "Nani" Suyat of Molokai, Reverend Deborah "Hinano" Lew of Kaneohe, Leatrice "Naomi" Reimann (Kimo) of Makakilo, Corina "Maima" Suyat Of Honolulu. Also survived by one brother Teofiloo Suyat (Ruth) of Las Vegas, three hanai sons, Ricardo Suyat of the Philippines, Gregory Manintin (MaryAnn) of Kauai, and Bryan Wong (Beverly) of Waianae, hanai daughter Pastor Gladys "Mui Lan" Lee-Kamoku of Hilo, (deceased), 104 Grand-children, 118 Great-Grand-children, and 12 Great-Great Grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his wife Reverend Rose and son Adam Suyat. Numerous nieces, and nephews in the Philippines, Hawaii and on the Mainland. Visitation is 9 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2011, at Nuuanu Memorial Park and Mortuary-East Chapel, service 10 a.m. Burial to follow at 2 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park Cemetery. Aloha attire and flowers welcome.
