DEAN HYRYALOHA
Dean Hyry - April 27, 1957-November 27, 2011
Dean was aloha and shared it with everyone he met. Born in Hilo and raised in Honolulu, Dean graduated Class of '75 from 'Iolani School. He went on to college at Lewis and Clark and then to a career in the hospitality industry. He began his career in Kona at Huggo's, Keauhou Beach Hotel, Sheraton Waikoloa and continuing on to the mainland with Hyatt and Mandarin Oriental Hotels in California. It was there he became a wonderful husband to Cheryl and devoted father to Miranda. Wanting to share Hawaii with his family, Dean returned to Hawaii with the Kahala Mandarin on O'ahu and Four Seasons Hualalai on the Big Island. He and his family continued to keep Kona their home while working at the Four Seasons Aviara in San Diego and eventually, his final position with Four Seasons as Vice President, Residential Operations Worldwide. Dean passed away suddenly while on a business trip to Beijing, China. He leaves behind his wife, Cheryl; daughter, Miranda; parents, Bert and Warren Morgan; aunt, Jean Myers and uncles, Jay, Reed and Miles Takaaze. Please join us as we celebrate Dean's life with a paddle out at 7:30am on Wednesday, December 21,2011 at Kukio. Please bring your boards and try to carpool as parking is limited.
Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
