Robert Brundage Shoemaker, 56, of Papaikou, Hawaii, a Continental Airlines captain, Civil Air Patrol captain, certified flight instructor and mission and cadet orientation flight pilot, and a Marine Corps veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Philadelphia. He is survived by wife Gail; sons Kaine Charleston and Liam “Joey” Shoemaker; hanai sons Matt Gagnon and Jesse Fourmy; hanai daughter Jennifer Fourmy; parents Dr. William and Norma; brothers Dr. Stephen, Frank and Thomas; and four hanai grandchildren. Visitation: 11 a.m. Saturday at Hilo Civil Air Patrol Hangar, Kekuanaoa Street (airport road). Services at noon.
