Alvin Ku, 80, of Kapolei, an Army and U.S. Postal Service retiree, and a Purple Heart recipient, died in Kapolei. He was born in Wahiawa. He is survived by wife Lavaina, sons George and Alvin "Keola," sisters Bertha Lucero and Nani Hai, six grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Private services held.
